Van Gogh: Portrait of Eugene Boch

Boch was a painter back in Van Gogh's time. Can you imagine being a painter, but only being remembered for a painting that some other dude painted of you? That would be maddening.

I gave up on this painting after a while. I just couldn't figure out how to do it. Acrylics seem to be either too clumpy or too watery and transparent. I can't seem to get it to a consistency that I want. But this was still fun to paint.
