Some Fruit

I'll admit that for my September 4th painting, I got a bit tired of trying to copy famous painters. So I took a break and just painted some fruit. And then I ate them.

I swear that this looks way better and more nuanced in real life. Maybe I should stop taking photos of these paintings on my iphone at night. Anyway, they were damn fun to paint. While doing this one I was reminded of that famous Cezanne quote - "I will astonish Paris with an apple!"

Ha. Easy to be super confident when your father is a rich banker!
