Well, I don't know what to tell you. This one is pretty bad. And I can't even claim to have enjoyed painting it. I felt like I had lost control of the painting the moment I first put brush to canvas. I had no idea what I was doing. I was staring at a fruit but could not replicate it in paint. What is this, anyway? An apple? A diseased tomato?
The black outline helped give it some definition. And the bits of white helped give it some volume. But I just don't know how to mimic that apple skin texture. Maybe I need to invest a Malcolm Gladwell-style 10,000 hours into drawing apples before I become an expert?

This is still the apple of my eye
